What is Voltage Regulation?
Voltage regulation refers to the process of maintaining a consistent voltage level to ensure the proper functioning of electronic devices and equipment. This is increasingly important as the demand for stable power rises, utility power problems occur more frequently, and electronics become more complex and sensitive. With thousands of units in use correcting voltage across some of the world’s largest commercial and industrial facilities, including hospitals, airports, commercial and industrial equipment, and lighting, we are experts in maintaining perfect power. Now, we are proud to introduce this field-proven technology, the TPD-VR series, into the custom residential marketplace.

The TPD Voltage Regulator (VR) conditions and regulates power, preventing electronic lockups, glitches, and failures over a wide input voltage range with an extremely fast correction time (8ms or less). The TPD-VR is designed to provide stable voltage to electronics, protecting them from voltage spikes, drops, and other fluctuations. This unit protects sensitive electronic and electrical equipment from unstable AC mains (utility) voltage. Using the TPD-VR series ensures enhanced operation, extended equipment life, reduced downtime, and lower service costs. Applications include Lutron lighting systems, home automation, HVAC systems, EV charging stations, LED lighting, appliances, home theaters, and more!
We offer units ranging from 15-amp plug-in models to 200-amp three-phase hardwired units. With the fastest voltage regulator on the planet, you can maintain a constant voltage of 120V ± 2.5V with a correction time of just 8ms (half a cycle), or 120 times per second! In contrast, most other voltage regulators on the market use outdated technology, taking anywhere from 2 to 20 seconds to correct voltage. Their slower correction times are not fast enough to keep up with today’s sophisticated electronics.
If voltage fluctuates between 100V and 140V, the TPD-VR series maintains 120V ± 2.5V. If the voltage drops below 100V, the TPD-VR continues to provide a 20% correction, ensuring that even with voltage as low as 90V, the output remains around 110V, protecting your equipment from brownout conditions. If the voltage rises to 150V, the 20% correction keeps the voltage at approximately 130V, saving electronics from over-voltage conditions.
The TPD-VR series was built to regulate voltage for military and hospital grade equipment. We are excited to bring this advanced technology to the high-end custom residential marketplace.
